Just wondering if anyone has tried the Good Year 215/70-15 Assurance Tripple Tread tires on there 63/67 Corvette? I'm looking at putting new tires on for driving to the NCRS Nationals this summer. Besides the 205/75-15 radials that I have found on the Tire Rack website this size it the closest in diameter and revs per mile to the original 670-15 size. I want to keep the speedometer as accurate as I can. The 8.7 inch section width of the 215/70-15 size has me concerned that when mounted on a 6" factory knock-off wheel they may be too wide and rub both front and rear fender lips. I currently have a near new set of low dollar General Ameri-G4S, 205/75-15 black wall radials on the car now that I used to have the car flight judged. These tire are okay, but I'd like to move up to a better tire. I've also heard that the Michelin Harmonys are excellent also. I'm not concerned with having an "H" speed rated tire on the car, I don't drive the car that hard.
Thanks,
