Rob GM has a engine oil supplement that is recommended for new cam and lifters. I have used it in the engines I rebuilt. I first used it back in the mid 60's and GM still sells it.

GM EOS is high in zink

and this helps prevent wear but because of cat convertors they have taken the zink out of most motor oils now days because the zink will poison the convertor.the part # is 1052367 for a 16 oz bottle
