I had 4 rims, all double boxed, shipped business-to-business for just under $25. I couldn't believe it, when UPS also charges $10 for virtually anything.

That does seem strange. I ship everything by USPS and never have a problem. I also find them to be cheaper than UPS. Perhaps its the ltlle post office in the small town where I live. I know BOTH postal employees by name that work in our post office. If I forget to put a stamp on an envelope or don't have the right postage on a letter, they just put a stamp on it for me.

Had 5 new redlines shipped UPS from Ca to Tx last year. It was around $80.00.

Just bought a NOS tire off ebay for the '71. It's coming to CA from Detroit, MI, seller e mailed me the cost via UPS. Next day air 109.00, Second day air 59.00 and ground 32.00. Does anybody think Fed Ex could beat this? Tire has been boxed up and ready for shipping.
