1971 LS5 VIN 194371S101014 - any Info or History on this car you may have
Hi,
I have a 1971 LS5, VIN 194371S101014, Build Date August 27, 1970, Ontario Orange, Black Standard Interior, 4 speed. PS, PB, A/C, Factory Alarm; and it seems to be eluding documentation of any kind.
I ordered the Shipping Data Service and was one of the 6-9% of VINs whose info was not legible in the microfilm data base.
Auto Ancestry did some searching to not much avail as well, and, the tank sticker is missing.
The car is undergoing a frame off restoration just the same, so if you or anyone knows of someone who may have owned or might know of this car, I'd greatly appreciate it if you'd let me know. I believe it was originally titled in PA, next in MD, then back to PA. I am located in Northeastern PA and the fellow I bought it from had no documentation either.
Neither PA or MD DMV's will tell me anything about past title info, as per state laws.
