Reference is made to the listing of export dealer codes in the Winter 2011 issue of the Restorer.
I have collected information on four Corvettes exported to Europe with code 21002 and different destinations:
1963 GM Stockholm, Sweden
1964 GM Continental Antwerp, Belgium
1965 GM France
1968 GM Continental Antwerp, Belgium
And two with dealer code 79002:
1970 GM Germany
1971 GM Continental Antwerp, Belgium
Attached is a copy of a build sheet from a 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo exported to Sweden. The build sheet contains two zone and dealer codes. 79002 in the section for charged to (GM Overseas Operation) and 79017 in the section for shipped to (GM Stockholm).
The number of samples is too low to draw a final conclusion, but could it be that the zone and dealer on the NCRS Shipping Data Report might actually be the charge code for GM Overseas Operation in New York, since it appears that the same zone and dealer code is used for different destinations?
Is there someone that can verify this?
Regards,
Terje
